On May 14, 2014 the SUN students from HB Lee Middle School had fun building hobbit and fairy houses at Nadaka. They were quite creative in their designs and we decided to call it a forest art project. See a few more forest art photographs in the gallery.
SUN students from HB Lee Middle School recently collected rocks at Nadaka, painted them like turtles and added them to Turtle Rock at Nadaka. Turtle Rock is one of the special things remaining from the Camp Fire Girls. I’m told the Camp Fire Girls used to sit on Turtle Rock and make a wish.
SOLVE Cleanup at Nadaka on April 26th was a success for everyone. 37 volunteers came out to help remove invasives for this Earth Day cleanup with SOLVE. We logged 112 hours of volunteer time and filled a 40 cu yard dumpster.
Some did take time out to enjoy Turtle Rock.
A big thank you to Jazzy Bagel for the wonderful bagels.
The Gresham Outlook featured a section on “Exceptional Women” which featured the work Lee Dayfield has done at Nadaka. Read about the “magic of Nadaka“.
