Nadaka Cleanup

Posted on 3 January 2017

Rain or shine.  Come dressed for weather.  Help improve Nadaka by removing invasives, trail maintenance, weeding planted beds and litter removal. Work gloves and tools provided.  Refreshments for volunteers. Learn which plants are native to Nadaka and which are invasives and need to be removed. Even if you can only volunteer for One Hour it will help.  There is so much to be done at Nadaka to keep it looking like the wonderful park it is.

Meet at Nadaka picnic shelter next to NE Glisan & NE 176th Ave.

The Nadaka Community Festival will be held after the cleanup from Noon to 3:00pm where volunteers will be treated to hot dogs, music and activities for the family. The Audubon Society of Portland will have their live birds and you will be entertained by Aztec dancers from Ollin Yolliztli as well as NW PanMan Terry Baber on his steel drum.

East Hill Church in Gresham participated in a cleanup at Nadaka Nature Park on Saturday, August 23, 2014.  We had 25 volunteers from the church and neighborhood who worked a total of 95 hours.  These hours are important for our matching grants. East Hill provided food and drinks for all the volunteers.

The future community garden was weeded and volunteers worked on the new trail thru the woods from the Pine Square Apartments which was needed due to construction.
