6th Annual Nadaka Community Festival

6th Annual Nadaka Community Festival -Saturday August 20th 12pm-3pm

Everyone is welcome to the 6th Annual Nadaka Community Festival to be held at Nadaka Nature Park in Gresham on August 20th from Noon to 3:00pm.   Portland Audubon’s live educational birds will be there and we’ll have activities for all ages.  Free hot dogs (while they last), face painting and the Aztec dancers will perform in the meadow.  Community groups will have information tables.

Nadaka Community Festival

Everyone is invited to the 5th Annual Nadaka Community Festival to be held on the south two acres of Nadaka and on the meadow.  There will be free hot dogs while they last, fun activities for children and families, live music and dancing. There will be an Interpretive Nature Walk with the Audubon Society of Portland from 9am to 10am.

Interpretive Nature Walk Time (meet at the picnic structure): 9-10am.

Location: 17615 NE Glisan Street Portland, OR 97230. (Even though the address says Portland the park is located in Gresham).

 Entrances/Parking: Parking is available in the Wilkes East neighborhood or in the St. Aidan’s parking lot next to Nadaka. Entrances are at 176th and NE Pacific St. or 176th and NE Glisan St.

Festival Committee Meeting

Everyone invited to attend the Nadaka Festival Committee Meeting to help make plans for the 5th Annual Nadaka Community Festival which will be held on Saturday, August 22nd this year.  With the addition of the community garden, nature based play area, covered picnic shelter, etc this promises to be the best Nadaka Festival ever.  We need volunteers to make this happen and that means you!

Nadaka Cleanup With SOLVE & Festival Sat., Sept. 27th

Its happening Saturday, Sept. 27th.  The Fourth Annual Nadaka Community Festival & Cleanup.  Nadaka is a beautiful 10 acre forest where we will be removing invasives and litter in the morning from 9:00am to Noon.  You can pre-register with SOLVE for this event here.  If you would like to volunteer to help with the Festival beginning at 11:00am with setup, etc. you can do that at our partner, Columbia Slough Watershed Council’s website.

 

The Nadaka Community Festival will be held after the cleanup from Noon to 3:00pm where volunteers will be treated to hot dogs, music and activities for the family. The Audubon Society of Portland will have their live birds and you will be entertained by Aztec dancers from Ollin Yolliztli as well as NW PanMan Terry Baber on his steel drum.

Description: SOLV Cleanup at Nadaka Nature Park. Removing invasives and trash in the 10 acre forested portion of the park. Preparing for Community Festival that begins at Noon.   Pre-register on line with SOLV for this cleanup. Refreshments provided for volunteers.

Then join friends and neighbors at the 4th Annual Nadaka Community Festival for family fun with music, face painters, Audubon live birds, activities for children and free hot dogs while they last.  Festival is from Noon until 3:00pm.

3rd Annual Nadaka Community Festival

Put Saturday, August 3rd on your calendar for family fun at Nadaka Nature Park.

From 9 am to Noon there will be a cleanup of the park removing invasives, trash and  mulching around boulders along NE Glisan.

Beginning at Noon until 3 pm there will be live music featuring the NW PanMan-Terry Baber and Brad Hirsch, face painting and activities for children, the Audubon Society education birds, free hot dogs and drinks (while they last), voter registration opportunities, and information from organizations working on the Nadaka Nature Park and Garden Project.

 Afternoon activities will be on the 2 acre parcel at NE Glisan & NE 175th.  Parking is available at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church or on NE Pacific at NE 175th, Gresham.
