Be sure to put August 11th on your calendar for the Nadaka Community Festival. From 9 am to Noon there will be removal of invasives in the 10 acre forest. Beginning at Noon until 3:00 pm there will be live music featuring Kathryn Claire from Noon until 1:00 pm. Beginning at 1:30 pm Brad Hirsch will be playing the kettle drum until 3:00 pm.
There will be face painting and games for the children, the Audubon Society live birds, a disc golf demonstration, free hot dogs & drinks (while they last), voter registration opportunities, and information from organizations working on the Nadaka Nature Park & Garden Project.
MIG will have diagrams, photographs and information about the Nadaka Nature Park & Garden Project to share with the community. This will be an opportunity for citizen input on the design.
